Christina Miller King
A graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute, Christina landed a massage therapy position with DC United, Washington’s professional soccer team, after only two years in practice. She currently spends her time balancing her passion for working with professional athletes with her passion for weekend warriors, cubicle captives, and chronic pain sufferers.
Before she discovered pro sports, Christina’s first love and career was dance. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Shenandoah Conservatory and spent three years dancing for professional companies. Her love of the body drove her interest into understanding injuries, and she recognized the opportunity to turn this into a second career.
Now her focuses include, but are not limited to, athletic and chronic injury rehabilitation, the symptoms of Joint Hypermobility Disorder, fibromyalgia, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, low back pain, Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, IT Band Syndrome, Runners Knee, and dysfunction of the posterior abdominal wall with a focus on improving efficiency in the diaphragm, Iliopsoas and posture. Lately, she has come to believe that none of us will ever be 100 percent, but with best practices we are always able to become our best percent.
